About Me

My name is Myke Gregoree; however, some know me as MGThePoet. I am a Husband, Father, Poet, Author, and Leader. I started writing poetry in 2015 while missing my mother on her birthday five years after she passed. Feeling so much relief and joy from expressing myself in this way, I shifted my pursuit of becoming a Poet to now becoming an Author.  March 6, 2017, I published my first book, "Unspoken Words From A Creative Mind" with the help of a company. My experience was overall excellent with them; however, I wanted better access to my own books among other things. so the very next year I decided to pull my book from the shelves so I could go back to the drawing board. During that time, I grew so much as a person, and writing became such apart of my life that I used this opportunity to create a 2 for 1 kind of book. A unique format that included my first and second book, "all in one" titled "Unspoken Words from a Creative Mind V.2 Trials, Trails, and Transformations" was self-published on June 15, 2018. It's the journey and destination that leads to tremendous growth. Each step has led me to be where I am now, a man of God whose mission is to "Bring Motivation and Uplift Souls by the Rhythm of Poetry. ICGODNU is not only the name of my latest book but it's a movement. It's being able to see the creator and believing he lives in us all. I've fully embraced him dying for me and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Him being the father and I the son. Him the teacher and I the student. I find great joy in sharing what I learn and just helping people in general. So like originally stated everything i am I couldn't be without God and my family. I'm just a man, not a God but he does live in me and also in you.  ICGODNU peace.
